How do you make Bacon Jam? Turn on some good tunes and turn up the volume! Ha. Don't go bacon my heart and leave. I won't do it again. Promise. I will, however, show you how to make bacon jam

How to Make Bacon Jam

Ingredients:

1 Tbsp bacon grease or olive oil

1 sweet onion

3 strips of bacon, cooked and chopped

¼ C brown sugar

½ C strong brewed coffee

1 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar

2 Tbsp. bourbon or whiskey (optional)

Instructions:

Slice the onion really thin using a mandolin. Sauté in skillet with bacon grease or oil on medium low heat for about 30 minutes until brown and soft.

Add in bacon, coffee, and brown sugar. Cook until thick and “jammy." Add in vinegar and bourbon. Cook for one minute.

Allow to cool before serving.
