How to Make Candied Lemon Peels

Making candied lemon peels is so easy and they're a sweet little way to garnish desserts.They're also good to just pop in your mouth!

How to Make Candied Lemon Peel

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1  1/4 cup sugar, divided
  • 1 lemon, stripped (Or, as many as you'd like!)


  1. Bring water, sugar, and lemon strips to a boil. Continue to boil until the sugar dissolves and the lemon peels are translucent.
  2. Remove lemon peels and drain excess liquid as much as you can.
  3. Place peels in remaining 1/4th cup of sugar. Sprinkle sugar over all the peels to coat entirely.
  4. Remove the peels and let dry. Serve and enjoy!
